Peaceful Classrooms

Whole class - school bookings

  • 10-week Program for whole class of primary aged children

  • Sessions run for 1 hour each week

  • Option to book 5-week Program for 2 hours a week

  • To be run during school time or after school (contact for details)

  • Sessions include learning the theory mindfulness, activities, meditations and support for teachers to lessen stress and increase capacity for effective teaching

Peaceful Parents

Parent workshops

  • 4-week program for parents to learn strategies to support their anxious children and for their own wellbeing

  • Sessions run for 1 hour each week

  • $260 per parent for the 4-week program

  • Sessions include learning basic neuroscience of anxiety, mindfulness techniques and effective coping strategies

Program Aims

The programs provide children and parents with the skills, practice and support to utilise coping strategies that lessen the symptoms of anxiety and stress. Peaceful Kids and Peaceful Classrooms program’s involve parent, carer or teacher involvement and commitment to support the strategies at home and in school.

  • To minimise the symptoms of anxiety and stress

  • To build emotional resilience

  • To empower you to self-manage your anxiety

  • To teach mindfulness exercises to use for life

  • To build a reservoir of strength to cope with life more effectively

  • To minimise anxiety symptoms occurring in the future

  • To use a range of effective coping strategies

  • To learn how to self-calm

  • To develop emotional intelligence skills

  • To teach life long skills to manage stress and prevent stress build up

All programs were created by Georgina Manning, Director of Wellbeing for KidsPeaceful Kids is based on evidence-based therapy and research from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program (MBSR), Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiBCT), Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

The Peaceful Kids program is endorsed by the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES) and ‘Beyond Blue – Be You’ as a recognised evidence-based program for schools.
